No Need Orga missed the promotion to the 1st division of the German League of Legends-Liga Prime League in the first attempt. The team consisting of streamers around Frederik "Noway" Hinteregger and Daniel "Broeki" Broekmann lost the first qualifying series against Wave Esports with a score of 1:3.
"Unfortunately, we didn't make it. Mechanically, we have underperformed so much today," Jungler Muhammed "Agurin" Kocak wrote on Twitter. "From now on, Tuesday is the last chance to take advantage of Hertha.»
Close fight in Prime League relegation
After the disqualification of Penta 1860, NNO was allowed to skip the first round directly as the second division champion, while opponent Wave Esports, as the ninth-placed player in the first division, had to prevail against Hertha BSC first.
The duel was fiercely competitive from the very beginning, as the teams constantly alternated with winning team battles. In the decisive moments, however, NNO too often pulled the shorter one, with which Wave secured the deserved class victory.
Rise of LoL streamer team would be a sensation
In the duel for the last first league starting place against Hertha BSC on Tuesday, however, NNO gets a second chance to climb. This one would be a surprise anyway: with little training and without a classic coach, the team is more of a side project for the ex-professionals established as streamers.
However, with players such as former Mouz toplaner Niklot "Tolkin" Stüber, who resigned his position as a Prime-League commentator in favor of possible promotion, NNO brings more experience than many first-team players.
