There is chaos in the League of Legends league table: with MAD Lions, Misfits, Rogue and G2 Esports, four teams are in first place in the table. The playoffs are safe for everyone - but since first place is enough for the World Cup qualification, there is still a lot to win.
"We're playing three games this weekend, and we can't take any team lightly. Especially because all the teams are so close to each other in the table right now, it would be stupid to do that," Fnatics toplaner Martin "Wunder" Hansen said in an interview after the game.
League of Legends: MAD and Excel with form weakness
Since many favorites had been patting in the previous game week, the last week started with a four-way tie for second place, which now continues at the top. The previously sole leader of the standings, MAD Lions, broke for the third time in a row in the top game of the day against defending champion G2, which put the Berlin team on a par.
Rogue is also on the same level, in the victory against the weak Excel, the Botlaner Markos "Comp" Stamkopoulos even managed a pentakill. The fourth leader in the bunch is Misfits Gaming, which could easily beat BDS. Substitute Jungler Nikolay "Zanzarah" Akatov remained undefeated in his fifth game.
Fnatic pulls up, SK hopes for "Miracle Run"
The recently stumbling Fnatic scored an important victory against Astralis and returns to the playoff ranks. SK Gaming also sneaks up behind them and gets the chance to make the playoffs with a strong comeback against Team Vitality, which fell behind the top.
