On the penultimate matchday of the Dota 2 World Championship "The International" in Singapore, Tundra Esports prevailed over Team Secret in the upper half of the tournament and is the first team in the final. In the lower bracket, Team Aster was eliminated by Team Liquid.

"I was super excited, but in a good way. That was definitely one of the most fun games I've ever played," Tundra's German midlaner Leon "Nine" Kirilin said in an interview after the game. "It's the last game before the grand final, we were definitely more cautious than usual," added his teammate Martin "Saksa" Sazdov.

In the best-of-three series, Tundra was able to take the lead first in a 67-minute marathon. In the second game, Secret already looked beaten, but was still able to take the helm with methodical team fights. Nevertheless, in the third game, Tundra confidently managed to transfer Secret to the Lower Bracket.

Dota World Cup: Liquid eliminates last participant from China

Before the series, the Chinese team Aster of Team Liquid was kicked out of the tournament there. This means that all the teams in the top three come from Western Europe. Two of these teams, Liquid and Secret, previously failed to qualify through the Dota Pro Circuit and came to Singapore only through the last chance qualifier.

On Sunday, the clash between Team Liquid and Secret will show which of the two teams can face Tundra Esports in the final. Clement "Puppey" Ivanov from Secret and Lasse "Matumbaman" Urpalainen are both fighting for their second world title
