On the penultimate matchday of ESL One Stockholm, TSM reached the final in a tight series against Tundra Esports. OG eliminated Thunder Awaken and Gaimin Gladiators on his way through the Lower Bracket. In the top four of the tournament are three teams from Western Europe.
"Tundra is definitely very strong and we respect her a lot, but that doesn't mean we can't beat her," TSMs support player Kim "DuBu" Doo-young said before the game in an interview with the German Press Agency.
As a North American team, TSM enjoys a surprisingly high level of audience popularity in the Stockholm Hovet Arena. Especially the 21-year-old Czech Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek did it to the fans. Tundra Esports, which has long been considered the favorite, now has to prevail in the final of the Lower Bracket against the former double world champion OG to get a second chance.
OG never had to worry about the favor of the fans. Especially after the very tight series against Fnatic the day before, the crowd raged when OG first threw Thunder Predator and then Gaimin Gladiators out of the competition with clear 2: 0 series.
