The team of the Swedish plastics company Trelleborg has won the Farming Simulator League for the second time in a row. In the final of the third edition of the league, it clearly defeated LSA Esports with a score of 3:0.
Trelleborg went to the final with the status of the reigning champion as the favorite and lived up to the role. The team, consisting of captain Lukas "Wühler" Thiemann, Jendrik "JayKay" Kluge and Hanno "Beatmaster" Meier, worked their way to victory for three rounds in a row.
Prize Money for Farming Simulator League
The developer of the game Giants Software endowed the tournament with $ 100,000 in prize money. This will be distributed, weighted at the placement, to all participants of the playoffs. In addition to LSA Esports, which entered the tournament as an independent team, the teams of Hörmann and Corteva also reached the top four.
For the fourth season, the commentators of the tournament announced "some changes" e-sports league of the farming simulator. However, they remained vague about exact changes.
The final of the league was supposed to take place on November 14 in front of spectators, but had to be restructured and postponed to an online event due to the corona pandemic.
The farming simulator has been running its own league with a separate mode since 2019. Two teams compete against each other on a playing field, harvest wheat, make straw bales and bring them to a barn to earn points. The team with the most points after 15 minutes of playing time won the round.
