Team Liquid is at the top of the North American League of Legends LCS after the regular season. With only four defeats, the team consolidates its favorite role on the title.
Because Team Liquid started this season with a star line-up: in addition to the two European ex-LEC players Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau and Steven "Hans sama" Liv, LoL legend Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg is also part of the new lineup. After eight years at Team Solo-Mid, where he last worked as a coach, the Dane changed at the beginning of the season and now appears again as a professional player.
With just one less win, Cloud9 immediately follows. The organization had made major changes to the roster, but was able to prove itself directly. Evil Geniuses with newcomer Kacper "Inspired" Słoma and 100 Thieves around the German Felix "Abbedagge" Braun complete the top four in the fight for the title.
Canadian Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage did not qualify for the playoffs with Immortals. It is also a season to forget for his former team TSM: after 18 seasons, the team did not make it to the knockout round for the first time in the history of the LCS.
