Team Liquid has cemented its place at the top of the table in the Dota 2 Dreamleague before the winter break. With a 2:1 against Team Secret, the team remains the only team unbeaten in the Western European Dota Pro Circuit with an intermediate score of 5:0 victories.
"It was a very exciting series. The hero selection is always especially fun against Secret," Liquids captain Aydin "iNSaNiA" Sarkohi said in an interview after the game. "In the past, Secret had an advantage in the draft, but getting a few insights into Secret's thought processes from Zai and Matu was pretty helpful," he said, referring to two players who played at Secret last season.
Liquid at the top of the Dreamleague standings
The series was rather changeable. In both games, which went in favor of Liquid, Secret was able to gain an advantage early. However, Liquid found its way back into the game through better team battles. With an interim score of 5:0, the invitation to the next Dota 2 major is already secure for the team.
At the start of the winter break, Liquid is by far the leader of the standings, while OG and Team Tickles share second place. Behind them, Tundra Esports and Secret form the midfield. For the continuation of the season on January 5, Nigma Galaxy and Alliance will play for the relegation place.
