The field of participants for the final tournament of the Virtual Bundesliga Club Championship is taking shape: FC St. Pauli and Werder Bremen have qualified by winning the playoffs.

The Bremen team secured their playoff ticket with a success against 1. FC Nürnberg. This means that Werder is playing for the championship title again after a year of abstinence. Last season, the two-time club champion missed the final event.

Also at the final tournament is St. Pauli. The runner-up from Hamburg prevailed in the second Bavarian-Hanseatic duel of the day against the e-athletes from FC Augsburg.

"We are just relieved," explained a grinning Kamal "Kamal" Kamboj from FC St. Pauli after the game in the stream of the VBL. "To come back after the weak first round and win the playoffs to get to the Grand Final. This is the madness.»

Away from the playoffs, RB Leipzig can celebrate the division title of the South-East relay. In the catch-up game against SC Sandhausen, the Saxons secured the top of the table ahead of FC Ingolstadt by winning the double.
