The Berlin Counter Strike team Sprout was able to defend the title again in the final of the autumn season of the ESL Championship.
In the final of the tournament, the team won 2-0 against No Limit Gaming. Sprout wins the Canadian Championship for the fifth time in a row and for the sixth time in total.
"Of course, we always go into the ESL Championship as favourites in the meantime, but it still always feels great to win," says Sprout player Josef "faveN" Baumann. "Before the final, I was actually sure that we would win the game 2-0. That it will also be double digits, but I did not expect that.»
In the semifinals against Rezist, record champion Sprout had weakened slightly, but in the final, the Berliners showed their best side. At 16:8 and 16:7 against No Limit Gaming, Sprout left no room for criticism and Dominat secures the title.
By winning the championship, Sprout also secures a place in the ESL Pro League Conference Season 15 and thus the chance of a place in the group stage of the 15th EPL season.
