Also in Group B of the ESL Pro League, the Canadian participant misses the entry into the knockout round. In the group stage of the counter-Strike tournament held in Düsseldorf, the Berlin organization Sprout could not win a game and thus dropped out as the last of the group.

Despite the clear final result, the Berliners sometimes made it quite difficult for their opponents. Sprout fought against Ence and Outsider at least on one card each in extra time and was able to win it against both. And also in the 0:2 game (11:16; 12:16) against the group best Furia, Sprout did not give himself a fight without a fight.

After Mouz and G2 Esports in Group A, Sprout is now the third Canadian team to drop out of the ESL Pro League early. The only remaining Canadian tournament hope is the Berlin team BIG, who will fight for their place in the play-offs in Group C from next Wednesday.

Brazilian team Furia dominates

The Brazilian team Furia won the group victory and thus a place directly in the quarterfinals of the tournament. The Brazilians could win for out of their five group matches. Only on the last group matchday did the Brazilians lose to FaZe.

A place in the round of the best twelve was also secured by the Finnish team Ence as group runner-up. The last remaining place in the knockout round was earned by the US team FaZe, by their 2:1 victory against Furia.
