The first Rocket League team from the Middle East and North Africa region to qualify for a major tournament has made it directly to the knockout stage.
The Saudi team Sandrock started the major surprisingly with a 3:0 against the top team G2 Esports. And with two more significant victories against Furia (3:1) and Ground Zero Gaming (3:0), they also earned their first playoff participation at their first RLCS lan.
The group stage of the autumn major was also successful for the European participants. Four of the five EU teams made it to the knockout round. It went particularly well for Team Dignitas, which was able to win 3-0 three times.
Only European champion Vitality missed the playoffs. The French started with two defeats, but were able to regain courage after a victory in game three. In the decisive match against NRG, the first meeting between the two teams since the 2019 World Cup final, the French did not even manage to score a goal and were eliminated.
