Rogue is in the next round of the playoffs in the European League of Legends league LEC. The team has only played one game against Misfits Gaming and is only one series away from the final.
"It was a strange series. I felt like we didn't have to do much," Rogue's Emil "Larssen" Larsson said after the series. "In some places it felt almost too easy.»
The duel actually promised excitement: Rogue went into the first best-of-five series of the playoffs as the leader of the standings after the regular season as the favorite. But Misfits had also shown that it could turn hopeless games in its own favor.
Rogue dominates the launch
Rogue, however, tied directly with the strong performance from the regular season in the first game of the best-of-five series. Misfits stayed in the game for a long time, but Rogue got the upper hand and played the lead dominantly to victory.
The performance transferred Rogue to the next game. Misfits could not do anything against the error-free style of play and thus saw himself in a 0: 2 gap. For Rogue, that meant match point.
Misfits still with opportunities
But Misfits was not impressed by this and hit back: with strategically strong moves, the team built up an early advantage and shortened to 1:2 in just 23 minutes.
The fourth game was just as clear, but this time for Rogue – with a convincing performance, the team is thus in the semi-finals of the LEC. But Misfits has not yet been eliminated: the team still has a chance to fight its way to the final in the Lower Bracket.
