The second year in Valorant e-sports has only just begun with the Masters tournament in Iceland, but developer Riot Games is already looking to the future: from 2023, there will be offline leagues for the first time.

For America, Asia with Oceania, as well as Europe together with Africa and the Middle East, a league is planned from next year, which will be played on a weekly basis. These should take place in front of an audience in an offline environment. The best teams of these leagues qualify for the Masters events as well as the Champions tournament at the end of each season.

Riot will select the participants according to their own criteria, but the teams should not have to spend money for a place. In return, a participation of the teams in the revenue is planned. In Riot's League of Legends leagues LCS and LEC, investors had to pay double-digit million contributions for a place.

More details about the leagues will be announced later. The game Changers program for female professionals as well as the regional leagues are also to be expanded in the coming year.
