A new e-sports ecosystem will be created around the shooter Halo Infinite. Among others, developer 343 Industries will cooperate with the tournament organizers ESL and Faceit for the current and next year.
The Halo Championship Series (HCS) will be held in the regions of North America, Mexico, Europe, as well as Australia and New Zealand. In a statement, 343 speaks of the "largest, most robust, most open and most competent" e-sports program for Halo so far.
The ecosystem is also supported by in-game purchases. Players can qualify for the tournaments via the regional and global rankings. The World Championship is scheduled for the end of October 2023 in Seattle, USA.
Halo Infinite Multiplayer Beta launched
The tournaments will be held in Europe and North America under the ESL brand Dreamhack. With the Dreamhack Anaheim in mid-February, there is already an offline event for the competition series in the USA.
The multiplayer beta of Halo Infinite went online on Monday without much notice. The single-player mode with a campaign around the main character Master Chief is scheduled to be released on December 8.
