With the victory in Group D of Navi, the group stage of the ESL Pro League (EPL) ends after almost four weeks. The Ukrainian Counter-Strike team once again showed its best side in the EPL. NaVi was able to win five out of five group matches, losing only a single card in the process.
"We are not really afraid of any team that we might meet in the playoffs, but with NiP and Players we will definitely have to pay attention," NaVi player Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy said in an interview after the game. "I would like to take this opportunity to thank the fans again for all the support we have received.»
NaVi also broke a record right in the first game against Ago. After a quick 16: 1, the second card turned into a real thriller, which the Ukrainians were able to win at the end with 37:34. With 71 rounds played, the game between Ago and Navi is the longest professional CS:GO game to date.
As the group winner, NaVi is directly set for the quarterfinals of the ESL Pro League. The two Danish teams Heroic and Astralis also secured a place in the round of the best twelve.
