The run continues: Mouz has cleared the last hurdle at the "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" tournament IEM Cologne with ninjas in pajamas and qualified for the playoffs at the Lanxess Arena. The last Canadian organization remaining in the tournament beat the Swedes with 2:1 (9:16; 16:12; 16:3).
"I don't really know what happened. Our attitude has changed," Mouz announcer Christopher "dexter" Nong said in an interview after the game. "When we won maps against Navi and Heroic, it slowly became clear to us that we could do it. We have no reason to be frustrated and can just enjoy it.»
IEM Cologne: Mouz fights rewards himself with playoffs
After BIG and Sprout were eliminated in the play-ins, as well as G2 Esports the day before after a defeat against NiP, only Mouz remained as the German representative in the tournament. After mixed results, the team surprised with the strong run to the playoffs, and eliminated several big names along the way with Heroic, Team Vitality and NIP.
Mouz' Jon "JDC" de Castro, promoted from the Academy team less than four months ago, will compete alongside Canadian-Dane Finn "karrigan" Andersen from FaZe Clan as one of only two German players in front of the Cologne audience.
