Team Liquid and Natus Vincere won their respective groups at the Last Chance Qualifier of the Dota 2 World Cup in Singapore. Of the twelve participating teams, only two will qualify for the main part of the tournament.
After the two-day group stage, Team Liquid from Western and Natus Vincere from Eastern Europe remain undefeated in the group stage and go into the playoffs as the top seed. The two Chinese teams Vici Gaming and Xtreme Gaming are close behind. Since only two teams out of twelve qualify for the main event, the qualifying round is considered particularly competitive.
In the Last Chance Qualifier, each region gets two places. The teams that started for North and South America were obviously not playing in the same league as the other regions and will all be moved to the lower bracket for the playoffs after disappointing results.
The playoffs are scheduled to be completed in just three days. After a two-day break, the group stage of the main event is to begin.
