Leading the standings despite defeat: RB Leipzig is still in first place in the South-east relay of the VBL Club Championship - and this despite a bust at the last Regensburg.
The FIFA professionals of the Saxons were able to get only three of nine points at the last light SSV Jahn (1:3; 5:0; 1:2). It was the bitter end of a mixed matchday of the Leipzig. Previously, the team had to share the points with Heidenheim (2:0; 3:3; 1:2).
Heidenheim misses out in playoff race
For the reigning champion of 1. FC Heidenheim, the cold shower against the SpVgg Greuther Fürth followed later. The team could not get a counter against the Franks (0:1; 1:3; 1:2). Too little for Heidenheim, who are in eighth place in the South-East relay.
In the table directly in front of it is Hertha BSC. After the Berliners were able to defeat the runner-up of FC Ingolstadt to date (1:0; 2:0; 3:2), there was a bust against the playoff competitor from Darmstadt (0:1; 4:0; 2:3). As a result, the lilies move past Hertha in the table and are sixth.
Bremen new league leader in the North-West
The North-West squadron was already in action on Tuesday. Above all, SV Werder Bremen had reason to be happy. Because the previous leader of Hannover 96 lost his two games against Leverkusen and Bochum, a narrow victory against Holstein Kiel was enough for the Bremen team (1:1; 1:0; 2:2) as well as a draw against Schalke 04 (2:2; 1:2; 3:0), to take over the leadership of the table.
