The Italian FIFA professional Lucio "HHezerS" Vecchione has won the title in the first Eligella Xmas Cup. The tournament, organized by the German FIFA influencer Elias "EliasN97" Nerlich, was the biggest offline event of the scene since the beginning of the corona pandemic.

Nerlich gathered the international elite in Hamburg, 32 of the best players delivered over ten hours of matches at the highest level. This was well received by the fans: in the final between HHezerS and Donovan "Tekkz" Hunt, the number of viewers on Nerlich's Twitch stream temporarily skyrocketed to over 150,000.

Italy v England in the final

HHezerS and Tekkz delivered a real crime thriller with only one counter difference for the coronation (1:2; 4:2). It was something like the virtual re-run of the European Championship final this summer - Italy v England - and again the Italians cheered at the end. For HHezerS, it was the first offline tournament of his career.

The Italian from Betclic Apogee Esports was one of the eight players who secured a place in the field of participants through the qualifications. With Tekkz, a player with great tournament experience was waiting for him. The Briton from Fnatic was considered the best player in the world a few years ago, this year he is showing himself in old form.

MoAuba with a handicap in FIFA 22

The reigning world champion Mohammed "MoAuba" Harkous, who has been the most successful German in the tournament since 2019, managed to make it to the top four as the most successful German in the tournament. In the semifinals, he narrowly lost to Tekkz (4:5). MoAuba competed with a handicap: he had broken two fingers at the beginning of November and therefore had to take a break from training.
