The Gladiators team, which has only recently been playing in the new jersey, has won the playoff final of the Dota 2 Dreamleague. The team, known as Team Tickles until before the tournament, defeated Team Liquid 2:1 and secured important points on the way to the Dota World Championship.

"When we started the season, we had no expectations for our results. We just wanted to keep improving. Our coach also made up a lot," Miroslav "BOOM" Bičan said in an interview after the game. "Every time we lose, he criticizes us and we watch replays for three hours.»

Team Liquid clear favorite in Dota Dreamleague

Team Liquid went into the final as the clear favorite over the Upper Bracket. The day before, Liquid Gladiators was able to send them into the Lower Bracket with a clear 2:0. In the decisive series, the strong playful improvement that Gladiators was able to achieve in a short time during the course of the tournament was quickly visible.

"It doesn't mean that much to us, just that we are the best team in Western Europe at the moment," Boom said. "Until we can prove ourselves in an international LAN tournament, it doesn't mean so much to us." The regional final rounds were organized at short notice as a replacement for the cancelled Winter Major.

Until shortly before the start of the final round, the squad entered the race as Team Tickles. Canadian Erik "tOfu" Engel, among others, was signed by Gladiators.
