Gamerlegion is the new champion of the German-speaking League of Legends-Liga Prime League. In a competitive final, Gamerlegion newcomer Eintracht Spandau remained superior and secured the first title in the history of the organization.
"I'm really happy. I've been playing at Gamerlegion for so long and now we've finally won," said Gamerlegion's Benjamin "visdom" Ruberg Larsen. "After the last best of Five, it feels really good to win against Spandau.»
Gamerlegion gets off to a better start
The last meeting in the playoffs was a clear affair: Eintracht had finished Gamerlegion with a score of 3:0. Spandau thus went into the final as the favorite, which was held in the studio for the first time this season.
However, Gamerlegion was not impressed by this in the first game of the final series and started with a dominant victory. The second game was hard-fought: Gamerlegion was already knocking on the opponent's base, but the Spandauer defended them doggedly. The next ten minutes were a back and forth, but ultimately Gamerlegion closed the bag on match point.
Gamerlegion new Champions
The decisive game was also more than worthy of the final: after a better start by Gamerlegion, Spandau fought back with several good team fights. This was followed by countless exchanges of blows, which lasted more than 45 minutes.
But Gamerlegion remained persistent and secured the championship title with the 3:0. This means that the Berliners are the best team to represent the Prime League at the European Masters tournament.
