Perkz is subject to his ex-team: with a dominant performance, G2 Esports Team Vitality has eliminated LEC from the playoffs of the European League of Legends League.
"Winning against Perkz is always exhilarating," G2's Rasmus "Caps" Winther said in an interview after the series. "Especially when you've been playing on the same team for so long.»
Vitality came into the series with a victory over Excel Esports, and also took direct control. In the middle of the game, G2 then took the helm and got the first victory of the best-of-five series. G2 also clearly won the next game.
The third game meant match point for G2, but the team fell behind early on. But the super team around Luka "Perkz" Perković did not manage to close the game. Then G2 fought back doggedly: the game dragged on for 46 minutes and a variety of team fights, before G2 won the series with a score of 3:0.
"At the moment we are not as dominant as we want to be. But I'm sure we'll come back," Caps said with a view to the upcoming duels. G2 will face Misfits Gaming in the next round.
