G2 Esports has successfully started the international League of Legends tournament Mid-Season Invitational with two victories. The European champion also won the first duel against North America.

"We are confident going into this tournament. We can beat anyone," G2s midlaner Rasmus "Caps" Winther said in an interview after the game. "I was a little worried about how we would look at the beginning, but we played solidly today, even if it wasn't always confident.»

In the first game, the Australian team kept Order against G2 for a long time, but squandered their own chances with a too early attempt on the Baron, whose reinforcements G2 secured the first victory a little later. Afterwards, the LEC champion dominated the prestigious duel between EU and NA, and after the victory against Evil Geniuses, he leads his own group for the time being.

In the remaining matches of the first day, the top favorite T1 around Sang-hyeok "Faker" Lee won as well as the Chinese champion and defending champion RNG. The only surprise so far was the Brazilian team Red Canids against PSG Talon from Hong Kong.
