G2 sweeps Fnatic out of the playoffs of the European LoL League

G2 Esports is in the final of the European League of Legends League LEC. The team prevailed dominantly with 3:0 against Fnatic and solved the ticket for the final. The first of the regular season Rogue is waiting there.

"We learned a lot from the first game against Fnatic," Raphaël "Targamas" Crabbé of G2 said in an interview after the series. "We are finally showing what we can do. We just enjoy the game.»

G2 gets off to a better start in the LEC classic

The players were greeted with applause: for the first time in over two years, the teams played in the Berlin studio again in front of an audience. Inspired by the cheers of the fans, G2 got off to a better start in the best-of-five series. The first game belonged solely to the team around Targamas.

In the second game, Fnatic showed some signs of life, but G2 took control again after a few minutes. Fnatic again found no answers and had to give the second game as well.

LEC Finals: Rogue vs G2 Esports

G2 continued to transfer the momentum into the decisive third game. Early on, the team built up a comfortable lead. Fnatic tried to fight back, but G2 answered every move. One exchange of blows followed after another.

After 40 minutes, G2 then found the decisive team fight and is now in the final with a series of nine victories in a row. That's where the team meets Rogue.

"Rogue is a very strong team. They are actually challenging us," Rasmus "caPs" Winther said in the interview. "We just have to show the same performance as today - then we can definitely beat them.»
