Frenchman Clément "Clem" Desplanches is the winner of the European qualification for the Dreamhack Starcraft 2 Masters Valencia. With a narrow 4: 3, the Terran player from Team Liquid prevailed over the Italian and vice world champion Riccardo "Reynor" Romiti.

"I feel great," Clem said in an interview after the game. "Especially after the 0:3 yesterday, I'm just really happy.»

The day before the final, the two finalists already met in the Upper Bracket Final, which Clem clearly lost with a score of 0:3. However, after a trip to the Lower Bracket, the 20-year-old was able to secure the title in the final.

The two German players Gabriel "HeroMarine" Segat also qualified for the main tournament in Spain in third place and Julian "Lambo" Brosig in fourth place. HeroMarine scored a 3:2 victory against world champion Joona "Serral" Sotala and eliminated him from the tournament.
