The form curve continues to point upwards: G2 Esports has prevailed in the "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" league ESL Pro League with a strong comeback in the quarterfinals against Natus Vincere. The Berlin organization beat the team around superstar Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev with 2:1 (13:16; 16:9; 16:9).

"They played very fast. We didn't expect that, otherwise they don't play like that," G2 player Nikola "NiKo" Kovač said in an interview after the match. "They changed the way they played, I don't know why, but we handled the aggression well.»

G2 always better - Mouz flies out

Not even two months after the arrival of announcer Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen, initially eyed with skepticism due to his rather weak statistics, G2 is already on a good path towards the top of the world. After a group stage without defeat, the team drew the shorter on the first map, but then sat down from Navi and turned the series.

Mouz, on the other hand, has to start the journey home after a defeat against Team Liquid. The team could not build on the surprisingly good performance in the group stage with four wins and lost with 0:2 (10:16; 11:16), liquid showed a significant improvement compared to the previous round.

FaZe Clan misses out on millions

Major and IEM Cologne winner FaZe Clan was eliminated in the quarterfinals against Cloud9, and thus misses the Grand Slam special prize of one million US dollars for the time being. G2 next meets Team Vitality, who previously eliminated outsiders with the usual impressive Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut.
