A confident performance leads to victory: Fnatic has prevailed in the playoffs of the European League of Legends League LEC with a score of 3:1 against G2 Esports.
"It's very special for me because I'm in the semi-finals of the LEC for the first time," Fnatic jungler Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz said in an interview after the game. "It's a small victory for me. I am the youngest player in the team, but I feel like a captain."
The duel is eagerly awaited
After a strong second half of the season, Fnatic had only narrowly missed out on first place in the regular season. In the first round of the playoffs, it came to the traditional duel against G2, to which commentator Trevor "Quickshot" Henry dedicated a five-minute monologue to the introduction at the beginning of the day.
At the beginning of the first match, a close exchange of blows was initially indicated, but Fnatic showed a strong performance in the battles for the dragons. With the reinforcements, the team constantly extended its own lead and secured the lead in the series.
G2 balances out, but Fnatic stays better
The G2 reacted all the more strongly to the backlog. A strong early stage of the game, the record champion skillfully played out to a clear victory, in which the team allowed only four opponent eliminations.
After the equalizer, however, Fnatic's hour struck again, as the team dominated the opponent in the third game and secured a match point. The fourth game became the tightest of the series, but G2's hopes for a comeback remained unfulfilled in the end. In the next round, Fnatic will face Rogue in the top duel.
