Fnatic ended the last season of Misfits in the European League of Legends league LEC with a tough defeat. In round two of the lower bracket of the playoffs, the British organization won with a score of 3:0.
Misfits got his feet on the ground only once in the series: in the second game, the team was able to turn the momentum, but overestimated itself in several situations and relinquished the lead again. Otherwise, Fnatic showed a clear dominance against the fourth-ranked player of the regular season.
This marks the end of the last season for Misfits in the LEC. The umbrella organization announced at the end of July that it had sold its starting place in the league to the Spanish organization Heretics for the coming year.
By finishing in fifth place, Misfits was also unable to qualify for the World Championship in North America. The European Worlds participants are now confirmed: G2 Esports, MAD Lions, Rogue and Fnatic.
