Fnatic's Valorant professionals are at the top of the EMEA region for the first time. With a 3-0 win against FunPlux Phoenix, the team secured the Challengers title for the area, which also includes Europe.

"It feels good," Fnatic's Jake "Boaster" Howlett said in a livestream after beating the defending champion in the final.

A hard-fought victory for Fnatic

It was a special victory for the British e-sportsman. Since 2020, he has played in three grand finals, but always had to admit defeat. The relief of the Fnatic captain was correspondingly great: "I thought, maybe I was just born to finish second. But it doesn't look like it.»

Fnatic and Boaster's premiership victory was more competitive than the result suggests. Especially on the Split and Haven maps, Fnatic and FPX played a close game. Both games were not decided until extra time. At the end of two intense rounds, the British e-sports organization was able to prevail after the second extension with 15:13.

Fnatic wins the Copenhagen Masters as Challengers

Even before the final, it was already clear that Fnatic will participate in the Masters in Copenhagen, Denmark, in July as one of the three best EMEA teams. Here, Fnatic hopes to make amends after the team finished in the shared last place at the last Masters in April. Boaster is correspondingly motivated: "Now we are coming to Copenhagen. Hopefully we win!»
