The FIFA influencer Ebru "Ebru" Önal from SV Wehen Wiesbaden has won the "ShEsports Cup" in FIFA 22. At the International Women's Day invitation tournament, ten of the best players worldwide competed.
"I'm happy that I showed a lot of people how I play FIFA and that women can play FIFA," Ebru said in the winner's interview. To win the tournament, she had to beat the British Lisa "Lisa" Manley by a real heartbeat final.
In two matches plus extra time, it went back and forth between the two finalists. After a 2:2, we went into a third match in the Golden Goal mode - the first goal decided the title win. Ebru slammed the ball into the corner in the ninth minute of the game, leaned back and grinned slightly incredulously.
The influencer has become known to a wider public in the past year. On her TikTok channel, she shows tips and tricks to get better in FIFA to around 155,000 fans.
Ebru won a prize money of 1000 pounds (about 1200 dollars) for her victory. The players competed from home. It was broadcast from a pink-lit studio.
