The FIFA 23 Global Series has opened the season with a close group start in the EA Sports Cup. The new duo event of the FGS will be held in London.

Group C started with the first four games. The Spaniard Andoni "Andoniipm" Payo and the Portuguese Diogo "Tuga810" Pombo from the Movistar Riders only narrowly finished at the top of the table.

Wins against Team Falcons (2:1) and DUX Gaming (2:1) as well as a goal-rich draw against Atlanta United FC (3:3) were enough for seven points. Only Donovan "Tekkz" Hunt and Diogo "Diogo" Mendes of Fnatic beat the Riders (2:1). It remains exciting in the group.

Even the bottom of the table, Team Falcons, remains within striking distance of the top with four points. At the start of the tournament, it became clear: in FIFA 23, fans can hope for more goals compared to the previous season. Not a single game remained without a ball in the net.
