After Team Liquid, the two other European teams Fnatic and FunPlus Phoenix have also reached the playoffs of the World Championship called Champions in Valorant.

Above all, the performance of the Fnatic players stood out: in the duel with the North Americans of 100 Thieves, the professionals of the British e-sports organization achieved a 2: 0 victory - whereby the individual maps were won safely (13:5 on Bind, 13: 7 on Ascent).

"See you guys," Fnatics Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev, who was named the best player of the match, rejoiced after the match in the direction of his fans on Twitter. The background is that the preliminary round took place without an audience. With the start of the knockout round, fans will be allowed to participate in Istanbul. Fnatic's opponent in the playoff quarterfinals of the champions is once again a team from North America with XSET.

The same applies to Team Liquid: after defeating Paper Rex's South Koreans, who were treated as tournament favorites, in the deciding game, the first knockout round of the World Cup now comes to a duel with OpTic Gaming. Meanwhile, FunPlus Phoenix is dueling with the South Koreans from DRX for the semi-final entry.
