"Expectations were high, and expectations were met," Jan "Qupe" Tinnemeier of Euronics said in an interview after the game. "We didn't specifically prepare for Ivy, we just set out to play good dota and I think we did that quite well.»
The support player himself showed a solid performance in the final: he was involved in 80 percent of the eliminations of his team.
Both Euronics and Ivy won their respective groups, but Ivy went to the finals as the favorite. In the first game, the team was able to keep almost 50 minutes in the game, despite an increasingly crushing gold disadvantage. In the second game, however, Euronics Gaming won significantly in about 30 minutes.
