The video game manufacturer Electronic Arts (EA) has announced that it will remove all Russian teams from its games of the FIFA series and the ice hockey game NHL 22 because of the war in Ukraine.
This is done in accordance with the decision of the international federations to suspend the Russian teams from competitions, EA Sports FIFA and NHL announced on Twitter. We stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and demand an end to the invasion of Ukraine.
The decision includes all Russian clubs, as well as the national team in the games FIFA 22, FIFA Mobile and FIFA online. At the NHL 22 game, Belarusian teams will also be removed, as it was said on Twitter. This will happen in the "coming weeks". The football world Federation FIFA and the European Football Union UEFA had suspended Russia from all competitions because of the attack on Ukraine.
