Despite losing to Spacestation Gaming (0:2) in the last match of the group stage of the Six Invitational, the Canadian Rainbow-Six team Rogue qualified for the playoffs.

"We had many opportunities to end this series in our favor," Rogues captain Leon "LeonGids" Giddens tweeted after the match, "but we screwed up." In two tight rounds (5:7; 5:7), the Canadian team had no answer to the dominant performance of the American Nathanial "Rampy" Duvall, who almost single-handedly led his team to victory.

The defeat against SSG meant that Rogue only finished in fourth place within the group. As a result, the team will have to prove itself in the losing round in the coming match days.

The promotion to the European League, MNM Gaming, was also able to reach the fourth group place. Natus Vincere secured the playoff participation in the upper half of the tournament with the third place.

The Six Invitational Tournament for BDS

Surprisingly, European champion Team BDS was eliminated early from the Six Invitational. At the beginning of the tournament, the Swiss had to compete without the player Adrien "RaFaLe" Rutik, who was represented by coach Arnaud "BiOs" Billaudel.

This led to a disappointing team performance, which hardly improved even after RaFaLe's return to the squad. At the end of the group stage, it was unclear why the player was not available from the very beginning. BDS captain Bryan "Elemzje" Tebessi tweeted after the tournament: "This is a serious matter that we cannot communicate immediately".
