In the match for the last qualification spot for the Rainbow Six Invitational, the Canadian team Cowana Gaming narrowly lost to MnM Gaming from England (2:3).
"I love my team, they are amazing," MnMs captain Leon "neLo" Pesić tweeted after the game. The two teams had previously separated in the semi-finals with a 2-0 win for Cowana. As a result, the British team prevailed over the veterans of the European League, Team Vitality and Team Secret, and was prepared for the repeated encounter with Cowana in the final.
NeLo and his team took a 2-0 lead at the very beginning of the match. The veterans from Canada were able to equalize, but had to admit defeat to the new team in extra time (5:2; 3:7; 7:5; 2:5; 5:7).
The most important tournament of the year, the Six Invitational, will start on February 8 in Stockholm without spectators. Among others, Rogue, BDS Esport and Natus Vincere will be present from Europe.
