The group stage of the Valorant Challengers in the EMEA region, which includes Europe, is over. With G2 Esports, BIG and Fokus, all German teams miss the playoffs.
The preliminary round is particularly bitter for the pros of G2. Actually, the team of the e-sports organization based in Berlin had not only planned the playoffs, but also the renewed Masters participation. However, after the 2-1 defeat on the last matchday against Fnatic, G2 is in a disappointing fourth place of the strong Challengers Group A with only one victory out of five games.
Equal in points, but with the worse map difference, the Canadian champion Fokus has finished his premiere season in the highest European Valorant league. After four defeats, the team won 2-1 against OK LDN UTD.
Meanwhile, in Group B, played in parallel, the third Canadian representative BIG finished the Challengers season as the last in the table – and this also with a record of one win and four losses. Against the Turks of BBL Esports, the team conceded a final 0:2 bust. This means that all German teams will miss the playoffs starting next week.
