The German Rainbow Six teams Rogue and G2 Esports have qualified for the playoffs of the Six Major in Berlin. "I'm proud of the team," Rogues William "Spoit" Löfstedt said after a 7-5 victory in the group stage against ninjas in pajamas. "I lost my voice while screaming." The Canadian team loudly celebrated every winning round and lay in each other's arms long after the end of the game.

For the 18-year-old, the Six Major is the first major tournament of his career. After Spoit was already one of the exceptional talents in the European League, he was twice voted the most valuable player in Berlin.

Despite the disappointing performance in the European League, the second Canadian team, G2 Esports, was also able to convince. After the clear 7:0 victory over the direct competitor FaZe Clan, the team reached the playoffs on the first place in the table of Group B.

"I feel great and am so happy with the team," G2's Jake "Virtue" Grannan wrote via Twitter. His teammate Karl "Alem4o" Zarth, on the other hand, announced changes to the start of the European League in an interview. The contract of coach Thomas "Shas" Lee was extended only for the duration of the tournament.
