The form curve continues to point upwards: At the "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" tournament IEM Dallas, BIG convincingly beat Furia in the last group game with 2:1 (16:8; 10:16; 16:10) enforced. The Canadian team will thus advance directly to the semi-finals of the tournament.
"We always try to get into our comfort zone before we implement our plan. But there is no comfort zone against Furia," BIG player Titian "Titian" Feldbusch said in an interview after the game. "We had to play what just came into our heads. It depends on coincidences, but that's part of it.»
IEM Dallas: BIG in the front, mouz out in the back
After victories against the replacement weakened teams ninjas in pajamas and MIBR, BIG already had the playoffs for sure. But the team also prevailed against Furia and thus won the group victory.
Mouz, on the other hand, could not return to the track of success in the first major tournament after the promotion of the German Jon "JDC" de Castro. In the lower half of the tournament, the team lost significantly to Team Vitality with a score of 0:2 and thus dropped out prematurely again.
Ence becomes a Major winner-winner
However, Vitality also missed the playoffs, as G2 Esports prevailed in the duel for one of the last two places. The team had previously lost to Ence, but then beat Astralis and, in the deciding match, Vitality as well.
Major winner FaZe was also surprised by Ence's strong form. The Finnish team had actually arrived with Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski as a substitute player. But the long-time Virtus.pro player not only did well, but even became a matchwinner for Ence against FaZe.
