With a defeat against Sangal Esports, BIG is already eliminated in the quarterfinals of the "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" tournament Blast Premier Fall Showdown. The other favorites are confident.

Furthermore, BIG has to manage without regular player Josef "faveN" Baumann, and Academy talent Elias "s1n" Stein, who has already been used in the qualification tournament, will replace him. "The hype is immeasurable. To be able to play in this environment is a dream that will be every day, " he wrote about his at least temporary promotion on Twitter.

At the Blast Showdown, the last tournament before the Major, not everything went well. Against Sangal Esports led by German veteran Robin "ScrunK" Röpke, BIG was actually considered the favorite, but the rising opponent forced the team to its knees in the extension of the third card.

There were no surprises in the other games. Team Vitality is just as far ahead as Heroic, only Astralis had to fight Eternal Fire in a third card. The winner will receive one of the last places at the Blast Premier Fall Final, which will take place after the Major.
