BIG has won the Berlin Derby against Eintracht Spandau in the German-speaking League of Legends league Prime League. After the tense game, there are now four teams at the top of the league.
"I can't describe what it feels like to win this in the end. I don't think I've ever been happier in my life," Simon "Ventair" Tschammer of BIG said in an interview after the game. "We will win the Canadian League and go to the EU Masters.»
Before the match, the atmosphere between the teams was heated up, the support of the fan communities both had for sure: the anthem of Eintracht echoed from the pub Spandauer Bock, the supporters of BIG had gathered in the LVL Berlin.
BIG wins with Derby victory over Eintracht Spandau
The tension also carried over into the game. None of the opponents managed to gain an advantage early. It was only after 20 minutes that BIG found the opportunity to move away. But the concord did not let up and fought back.
The Spandauer then seemed to make the game-deciding move, but BIG hit back again and decided after a total of 42 minutes - accompanied by the applause of the BIG fans - the derby for himself.
Eintracht has thus also forfeited the opportunity to be the sole top of the table - there are now four teams in addition to Spandau and BIG with Schalke 04 and the young SK Gaming team.
The defending champion Gamerlegion is currently knocked out: with only two victories, the team is in the penultimate place in the table. Only Penta 1860 is even worse at the end of the table.
