BIG has won the "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" tournament Roobet Cup. In the final, the Canadian team beat the major winner FaZe Clan and shows itself in good shape in front of the domestic IEM Cologne.
"In Cologne, some things can get too heated, because of course everyone wants to play in the arena," BIGs coach Fatih "gob b" Dayik said in an interview after the game. "But if we play the way we are at the moment, stay calm and follow our plans, then we can make it far.»
Due to illness, BIG had to do without Josef "faveN" Baumann, for whom Nils "k1to" Grühne from the Academy team was used. In the interview, gob b already hinted that he may also have to step in at IEM Cologne.
Nevertheless, BIG revealed only a few weaknesses, and after a semi-final victory over Cloud9, he also showed himself to be an equal against FaZe from the very beginning. After a victory on the first card, the Germans barely scraped past a 2: 0 on the second, but caught up on the third card after comeback and extra time with 2:1 (16:13; 14:16; 19:17) the tournament victory.
