The field of participants for the RLCS Winter Major has been completed. The last place for the tournament at the end of March in Los Angeles was secured by the Japanese team DeToNator against Tokyo Verdy in the Asia-Pacific qualifier.
The tournament brings a mix of old and new faces: in addition to the defending champion BDS, Team Queso also qualified from Europe, which is probably the biggest surprise of the winter season with two tournament victories.
Good news also for all German Rocket League fans. With Evil Geniuses, a team with a majority of German players has also managed to qualify this time.
The Saudi team Sandrock Gaming has also qualified again. At the Autumn Major, the team made it to the top eight and was significantly involved in the early retirement of G2 Esports and Furia. Due to the success and the outsider position, the team quickly became one of the fan favorites of the tournament.
