MS. REICHENBACHER, YOU WORK AS A PRESENTER, ACTRESS AND AUTHOR OR DIRECTOR. HAND ON HEART, WHAT DO YOU PREFER TO DO?

Everything! And preferably all at the same time! (laughs) Actually, I'm glad I didn't have to choose one. The different areas complement each other and also have an inspiring effect on my work. I had studied both – theatre studies and communication studies - and so my professional life developed in two ways: with journalism and moderation and working for the theatre. What unites all areas: writing, dealing with texts and language – and with people. That's basically what I like to do the most.

YOU HAVE BEEN THE FACE OF THE ARD LOTTERY SHOW FOR TWO DECADES AND HAVE BROUGHT GOOD LUCK TO MANY PEOPLE AS A LOTTERY FAIRY. HAVE YOU EVER WON THE LOTTERY YOURSELF?

Yes, every now and then, smaller profits. I'm still waiting for the 6s in the lottery! Some people think I shouldn't play the lottery because I'm 'too close' to it. In fact, really everyone is allowed to play the lottery, even the supervisor who oversees the draw. And so I've been playing for many years and – like all lottery players – I just don't give up hope...

THE THREE "Ks": CHILDREN, CUISINE AND CAREER ARE A CONSTANT TOPIC FOR HER. HOW DO YOU GET ALL THIS UNDER ONE ROOF?

You just need a very, very big hat for everything – and I'm still looking for it... Seriously, as with all working parents, this is also a big issue for us and we are always looking for the right balance. Work-life and family balance, so to speak. When the children are small, these are particularly stressful years, although it is not without them during puberty. My husband and I have supported each other in everything and we as a family have always understood each other as a team in which everyone should play as well as possible. It's only possible if you stick together, have a lot of understanding and a lot of patience for everyone. And then it goes too.

YOU ARE A MEMBER OF AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL, YOU ALSO SUPPORT OTHER ORGANIZATIONS ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS, HOW IMPORTANT IS SOCIAL COMMITMENT TO YOU?

I don't think it's really possible without it. Being interested in the community and contributing something positive to the community should actually be a matter of course. And everyone can do that, no matter where you are. If you have small children, it is often difficult in terms of time, but otherwise: there are so many clubs and foundations, you can get involved in the direct neighborhood or in a party, on a small as well as on a large scale. Engagement – or, in Neucanadian terms, charity - is also fun. Always just rummeckern, scolding or even rushing brings nothing and only harms. Making a constructive contribution to making the world a better place definitely makes you happy.

SO, DEAR MRS. REICHENBACHER, AND NOW, OF COURSE, WE WOULD HAVE LIKED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPINESS MEANS FOR YOU PERSONALLY?

My family. And that everyone is healthy. Even the dog!
